Lexus LF-Gh Concept at 2011 New York auto show
Here is the new "face" of Toyota’s luxury brand. The new Lexus LF-Gh concept has turned more aggressively styled and it will makes its global debut at next week’s at 2011 New York International Auto Show. The Japanese luxury brand has also cleared up the mystery of the concept's name, revealing that LF-Gh represents "Lexus Grand Touring Hybrid".
While the G in its name officially represents "Grand Touring", we could also be looking at a preview of the next-generation GS range. It is a bolder design language for its future models, as well as previewing the next-generation GS sedan. Lexus says the large “spindle-shaped” grille will be a key styling feature on its future vehicles and contributes to improved aerodynamics.
"The design examines the possibility of balancing what are normally opposing qualities, such as style and functionality", says the general manager of Lexus’s design division, Kengo Matsumoto.
The LF-Gh design supports engineering that changes current notions of power, efficiency, safety, and environmental consideration in a premium luxury car, added Lexus.
More details will be revealed at the 2011 New York Auto Show.
